I love my husband,
my husband loves me
and we love skulls & glitter & Metal! ^_^
So: As we didn't have the opportunity to spend lots of money for our wedding (and for a wedding cake, which is just very simple and doesn't really taste good) I had the vision to do our own wedding cake - all by myself – and that is, what it looked like when it was finished!
And we were sooo in love with it.
As we both don’t like fondant or almond paste (marzipan), I agonized what to use instead – without having a fat buttercream-frosting within the cake. So I tried lots of things (and failed, haha) – and the resolution was so simple: White chocolate.
So I started moulding an army of white chocolate skulls – and fore the roses I did my best with selfmade molding chocolate.
At least we didn’t have to use any frosting for the „inner life“ – it was just blue-colored ombre-layered white cake. And it was pretty hard to cut the cake, but we finally made it and it was a unforgettable eyecather – just suiting perfectly to us! <3
